Who’s the Team?

The Swansea Centre for Deaf People have mixture of Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing staff who make a excellent team! With their help, the Centre runs smoothly, organised and kept busy along the way.

Many thanks and appreciation to all the staffs and volunteers who has helped us over the years ensure it is successful.

We are funded by Lottery Community Funds as a Kickstarter to employ number of staffs for 3 years (2024 till 2027)

Kitchen Assistants

Kitchen Assistants who runs the Wooden Spoons Café on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am till 2pm same day as Crafts club.

Do come down and say hello especially lovely lady Denise who enjoy baking a delicious cake weekly!

Light lunch fresh to order daily and enjoy the view of our sensory garden!

Event Organiser

Kate Evans is an Events Organiser for crafts and arts workshops and also social media creator to promote the centre.

Everyone’s welcome to join, to learn something new skills or to keep going with your skills. We are promoting wellbeing and mental health. It is for everyone to socialise so that you are not on your alone. It is not only for Deaf people to join, it is open to everyone, (all shapes or forms) use this opportunity to learn British Sign Language too!

Keep eye out on Social Media where she updates post of what happening weekly/monthly.

Crafts are usually on Wednesday and Thursdays 10am till 2pm. There will be crafts on Monday evenings from time to time.
